Urban Armor Gear Review – Galaxy S7 (and S7 Edge)
The Urban Armor Gear (UAG) for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are some of the best cases we’ve used for Samsung’s flagship smartphone. The cases are little larger than the average case but the UAG greatly improves the handling of the S7.
The improved handling comes from the design of the case as there is a lot of texture on the cases which helps with the rather slick glass backs of the S7. The UAG is approx. 50% larger regarding thickness but the handling of the case overshadows the larger case size.
From a protection standpoint, the UAG is drop rated though like the iPhone 6 version; the buttons aren’t fully covered up which is something we don’t like though UAG got rid of the biggest cutout on the back which is nice.
Accessing your S7 in the case is great as the buttons are easy to access, the edges don’t get in the way, and there are no issues with the camera or ports access. The case, as I said earlier is extremely grippy which allows for great 1-handed usage.
For our Urban Armor Gear review, we’ve given this S7 case a score 3.9 Eh’s out of 5. At the time of this review, it was #4 on our Top 10 list but we’re constantly getting cases to review so check to see if it’s been bumped from its top spot!

Based on these good reviews, we bought this UAG case for the Samsung S7 Edge. The phone slipped from the hands of my wife, fall on the ground, the screen broke. Screen repair can only be done in Samsung service centers, as the parts are not available for 3rd party, and it costs 295 Euro. First, the Samsung S7 Edge is fragile like a porcelaine egge, second this case still doesn’t protect it enough.
