Today we’re going to review the Apple Watch. This is one of 2015’s highly anticipated device and despite being a good Apple Fan-boi and staying up till 1 am on April 10th in hopes to get the Apple watch by April 24th, the one we pre-ordered wearing showed up Mid-May. We’re not bitter at all!
According to Apple, the Apple Watch is their most personal device and we’re guessing they say that because its always touching you. The Apple Watch is basically an extension of your iPhone and despite being not the first in the smartwatch game, they haven’t really done anything new, they’ve just done it way better.
The physical design of the Apple watch is spectacular and the UI works better than all the devices we’ve used so far but be warned, if you do get the Apple watch, you’re going to be a little underwhelmed. The battery life is absolute junk and like all Apple products, it doesn’t play well with others.
For our Apple Watch Review, we’ve give the smartwatch a score of 4.1 Eh’s out of 5. This smartwatch does better than the Pebble Classic and Fitbit Surge though the Surge will be better for some people which we’ll elaborate towards the end of the review. We’ve got the Pebble Time and Moto 360 in our pipeline so it’ll be interesting to see how those two stack up against the Apple Watch.

Design – Jony Ives’ doesn’t disappoint
In terms of design, this is one of the more comfortable smartwatches that we’ve worn. The Heartrate sensor doesn’t leave red marks like the Fitbit surge and the rounded edges of the device doesn’t get caught on pockets. The entire device wears fairly well tough mine did get scratched during my usage which is a little annoying.
Everything on the Apple Watch feels nice and well thought out. Things that seemed inconsequential to us such as using the watch strap and removing the watch strap are so well thought out that using other devices seem incredibly crude. For example, the silicone wrist strap gets tucked into the band which means you don’t have to suffer with the occasional “watch tail” that happens with the Pebble classic. Removing the straps, instead of fiddling around with a tiny screw driver and the tiny pins, all you have to do is press a button to remove the strap.
There are several of these tiny things that make the Apple Watch feel so easy to use.

Any recommendations on a screen protector for the Apple watch? The Zagg is the only one I have seen in a store, and was curious if you have tried either it or any others. I don’t want to scratch mine too 😉

How much pressure can the apple watch take? I wear mine to school and I’m afraid that is going to get broken. I slightly hit it against things sometimes and my friends hit my wrist sometimes. My apple watch seems to be fine and there are no scratches or dents that I can see. I just get worried sometimes. Right now I have a griffin bumper case on it. Please respond.
