Now what’s the biggest problem with large iPhone wallet cases? From our perspective, it’s the size. But that’s not the case with the Uolo 2 in 1 wallet.
The idea of the wallet case makes senses to us conceptually but the bulk of the case reduces the usability of the iPhone. This may work well for people who don’t use their devices much but the chronic Instagram-er is going to forgo the extra functionality of a wallet case for something slimmer.
With the Uolo 2 in 1 magnetic wallet, you get the best of both worlds. You get a wallet case when you need it and a slim case when you don’t. The entire setup holds together via magnets which is great. We don’t have many bad things to say about the case but Aaron’s still on the fence when it comes to his personal usage with the case.

Design – Why hasn’t anybody done this?
When it comes to design, the Uolo 2 in 1 wallet is a large case. In fact, it is one of the biggest cases we’ve reviewed but that’s to be expected with the removable case and card slots. The Uolo 2 and 1 case has slots for 8 cards and a pocket that could hold cash and more cards. The wallet case is held together by a magnetic latch. We’ll elaborate more on what the actual capacity is in the functionality portion of the review.
The UOLO Folio case is made from fake leather. Or premium PU leather depending on how you want to spin it. The entire case has a lot of texture so it won’t slip out of your hand easily. In fact, the removable slim case is one of the best cases we’ve used for handling. It is almost as grippy as the Speck Presidio Grip without the obnoxious grips.
We do have to note that the PU leather may come off during a drop. This happened with the iPhone 7 plus case during a face first drop.
The case fits well together. The magnetic connection between the slim case and the wallet fits in one orientation so you don’t have to worry about lining it up every time. The magnets aren’t strong enough to keep you from pushing the iPhone out of the wallet case with relative ease. On the flip side, the magnets on the case won’t work with magnetic car mounts.

Protection – Won’t protect your iPhone much
When it comes to protection, the iPhone can probably take a serious beating in the case. During our drops, the iPhone in the slim case didn’t slip out of the wallet. This was a concern for us because the bottom and top edges of the iPhone are completely exposed. The case portion by itself, provides slightly below average protection.

Functionality – No issues with access
When it comes to functionality, you can access the buttons on the iPhone through the spine of the case though it isn’t as easy as the Moshi Overture. We didn’t have any problems accessing the iPhone in the case portion of the wallet case. Like most wallet cases, the Uolo Folio case can also double as a kickstand.
When it comes to capacity, we were able to fit 8 cards, an RFID access card, a couple of bills and an iPhone with a screen protector into the wallet case. We’re glad they decided to go with a magnetic latch because it wouldn’t stay closed without. The Uolo 2 in 1 case is more forgiving when it comes to overstuffing when compared to other cases like the Spigen Wallet S and Moshi Overture.
