Mous has released a third version of the Mous Limitless! If you need a tough case that can take a beating, look pretty, carry a few cards, mount magnetically, and still be able to charge your iPhone wirelessly, then you should get the Mous Limitless 3.0.
We never really liked rehashed case ideas that pop up whenever a new iPhone is released. We’ve been reviewing long enough to get bored with it. But surprisingly, Mous has been updating the Mous Limitless in different ways that make every version of it worthy of purchase.

Design
Overall, you’ll notice that the Mous Limitless 3.0 is larger than the Mous Limitless 2.0 version. When installing your phone in the case, you’ll also notice that Mous included a micro-fiber pack to provide extra scratch protection for the back of your iPhone. You’ll even notice the edges have been improved. The Mous Limitless 1.0’s were very slick; the Mous Limitless 2.0’s were a decent improvement, the Mous Limitless 3.0 edges are great. They are not overwhelming like any of the Speck Grips, but ~almost as grippy.
You’ll also notice that the Mous Limitless 3.0 allows you to stow not just one extra SIM-card BUT TWO SIM Cards and tray tool. The storage area is recessed, so there is a gap between the frosted iPhone back and the tray tool and SIM Cards. The tray tool also doesn’t scratch the iPhone 11 or Pro’s back.
In terms of design finishes, you might notice that the Mous Limitless doesn’t offer the plain white colored case, or the shell covering finish. But there are five finishes with some interesting textures and materials to choose from (Aramid fiber, black leather, white leather, walnut, and bamboo)
The leather-backed cases performed the best when it came to not showing wear and tear. When scuffed up with a coin, the leather-backed case hid the scuff better than the other cases.
The auto-align system in the Mous Limitless 3.0 has been updated to Auto-Align+ so you can stick your phone on the mount. The case uses a ring of one-way magnets, instead of three dots, to reduce interference — this way, the accessory, and mounts have a stronger connection to the back of the iPhone. The Mous Limitless 2.0 mounts were borderline weak, but that’s definitely not the case with the Mous Limitless 3.0 mounts and accessories.

Functionality
The exterior of the Mous case is similar to that of its predecessor in a couple of ways. The Mous Limitless 3.0 has tapered edges along the middle of the case. These edges allow you to gesture easily on your iPhone, just like the Mous Limitless 2.0. The updated version allows you to access everything on the iPhone, including the volume buttons. The only downside is that it doesn’t quite have the same satisfying click that you would get from other cases like the Rhinoshield MOD and Solidsuit.
The large magnetic mounting system is quite secure and easy to use. It doesn’t get in the way of Qi-wireless charging either.
The Auto-Align+ systems allow you to take your iPhone further. And that’s the big reason why the Mous Limitless 3.0 case is one of the best cases for the iPhone 11. You have the option of a wall mount, vent mount, and a suction cup mount and two wallet options. We didn’t have any issues driving with either vent mount and stayed on during our daily commute.
Mous uses special magnets one-sided magnets in their Auto-Align+ system. These special magnets ensure that any interference with the magnets and the iPhone is eliminated. Honestly, these one-sided magnets where the biggest surprise in our Mous Limitless iPhone 11 Review!
The Mous Limitless 3.0 card wallet has been updated and feels a little beefier than the Mous Limitless 2.0 version. We know some of you had issues with the adhesive on the old version, but from our time with the Mous Limitless 3.0 version, we can safely say that all the edges stick together. As a side note, qi-charging doesn’t work through the wallet. The back of the card wallet has a washable adhesive which minimizes the card wallet from sliding around.
For us, the most disappointing thing with the Mous Limitless 3.0 is the updated flip wallet. We really liked the flip wallet on the Mous Limitless 2.0 because it came with a flap that held the wallet together if you had a bit more stuff in it. The updated wallet still has a secret pocket, but it’s on the inside of the front flap instead of the back.

Protection
Mous Limitless 3.0 is a triple-layered case that offers satisfaction for its intended purpose. Where most cases are only PC and TPU, the Mous Limitless 3.0 is made from PC, TPU and TPE.
While the Mous Limitless 3.0 isn’t as slim as the previous versions, the bulkier back does come with its benefits. And just in case your iPhone lands face first, the oversized corners offer some protection for your screen. The rigid back of the case also ensures the corners don’t come off. No surprises after that dreaded moment when your phone hits the ground.
