The Poetic Revolution is a decent tough case that’s relatively slim

Today we’re going to be doing the review for the Poetic Revolution for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. This is a relatively slim case that offers more protection than other slim cases and comes with a built in screen protector.
We’re big fans of this case and its probably our favourite case out of all the ones that have built-in screen protectors. The feel of the case is marvellous and the buttons, unlike other cases that have the buttons flush with the case edge, they’re quite easy to get to.
If we had to be picky, the only thing we didn’t like about the case is the screen protector along the bottom of the case as swiping your control panel might not work once in a blue moon. This problem only occurs with the iPhone 6 Plus version of the case as the 6 version doesn’t have any hard plastic parts covering the front of the case.
Now, we know in the world of marketing, having a unique name that’s memorable is worth quite a bit and Poetic Cases has done just that with the Revolution. Serioulsy, Poetry and Revolutions? Epic!
Based on our time with the case, we gave it a score of 4.1 Eh’s out of 5. We liked it better than the Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro, the Case-Mate Tough Extreme, it’s on the same level as the Ballistic Urbanite and we’re still going to recommend the Griffin Survivor Core and Tech 21 cases over the Poetic Revolution. Design – Nothing expectational here but it does feel nice
In terms of design, the Poetic Revolution will double the thickness of your iPhone but since it’s made out of plastic and everything, its pretty light. We don’t recommend using a screen protector on with the Revolution since it comes with one that’s built in and it’s pretty decent. The whole case feels very solid, feels really nice and from the dozen times that we’ve installed/re-installed the case, the Revolution still maintained its shape.

Protection – Not drop-rated but it’ll protect your iPhone from 4ft drops (generally)
For protection, this case is going to provide a decent amount of drop protection thought it’s not drop rated. We feel pretty comfortable dropping our larger iPhone 6 Plus in this case from about 4 ft. Now in terms of dust protection, this case covers up more your iPhone than other cases and despite the fact that there is a cutout for the Touch ID, the cases minimizes the amount of debris and dust that might get between your iPhone and screen protector (this is only true for the iPhone 6 Plus case).
For screen protection, the Revolution actually has cutouts for the other sensors on the front of your iPhone which many cases doesn’t have. On our 40 ft Otterbox Defender drop, the only damage to the screen was actually on the cutout area since it was covered.

Functionality – Nothing special but again, that’s not a bad thing
In terms of getting to your iPhone inside the case, there are decent sized cutouts for headphones and lightning cables. As we mentioned at the beginning of the review, the buttons are easily accessed through the bumper and feel quite nice.
Screen usability is almost 100% but the plastic piece right below the touchscreen might get in the way of getting to your control center. Now, for us, it wasn’t a constant hassle, just every once in a while the swipe for the control center wouldn’t register. We do have to note that this is only for the iPhone 6 Plus version of the case. The 6 version doesn’t have this problem.
The screen protector doesn’t suffer badly from glare or diffusion but is a little more prone to finger-printing. During our test period for the Poetic Revolution Review, we had an instance of rainbowing but after a re-install/uninstall, the rainbowing disagreed.
