From our initial impressions, the LifeProof Nuud for the iPad Air does seem pretty solid though it feels and looks suspiciously like the LifeProof Fre for the iPad Air. Actually, most of the case is exactly like the LifeProof Fre for the iPad Air. The back panels are interchangeable and the general dimensions of the front panel are pretty much identical.
In terms of features of the LifeProof Nuud for the iPad Air, the biggest difference between the Fre and Nuud for the is the fact that it doesn’t have a screen protector. This means you get the “Au Natural” feel of the glass touchscreen without having to worry about the rain-bowing and glare of the LifeProof Fre.
The case surprisingly doesn’t include a shoulder strap like the LifeProof cases for the iPad mini do but they did include the orange install/uninstall tool that’s going to pro-long the life of your LifeProof Case.
For the Nuud for the iPad Air, it’s waterproof up to 6.6 ft for 1 hour and shockproof from 4ft. The best thing about this case is the lack of screen protector. All the protection of the LifeProof Fre without having the screen protector get in the way.
