One of the best protective yet slim iPhone cases out there
[toggle title=”Watch the Lunatik Seismik Review Video”][/toggle]
Many of you ask what some of our favourite cases and the Lunatik Seismik is one of them. This is a slim iPhone case that provides all the benefits of a slim case but will definitely protect your iPhone from accidental drops. We gave this case a score of 4.9 Eh’s out of 5 with our slim case rating system.
Now we’re obligated to point out a couple weaknesses in this Lunatik Seismik review which is that the case will add a bit of bulk along the edge of the iPhone and it may a little of effort to install the case. But these two things are really trivial and shouldn’t be considered as deal breakers if you’re considering buying the Lunatik Seismik.

In terms of Weight and bulk, the case will add may an 1/8 of an inch to the thickness of your iPhone and about 1/4 inch around the entire iPhone and the weight of the case is barely noticeable.
Like all other Lunatik products, the build quality and design of the Seismic is really awesome. One of the most unique features of the case is the impact truss that runs along the side of the case. The case does hold up well over time and the material that the Seismic is made out of isn’t too rubbery and not slick enough that it will fly out of your hands.[/toggle]
[toggle title=”Protection – Your iPhone is going to be safe if you drop it in the Seismik”] In terms of protection, this is one of the very few slim cases that I’m more than willing to drop. I’m actually more comfortable dropping this case than some actual rugged cases that I’ve reviewed. The seismic doesn’t have a built in screen-protector but you can easily install one and use this case. If you get a glass screen protector, you’d have the baby brother version of the Lunatik Taktik Extreme![/toggle]
[toggle title=”Functionality – No problems accessing everything on your iPhone”] Accessing your iPhone is fairly easy with this case. The power and volume buttons are embedded into the impact truss and although it’s part of the case, it’s not hard to get it. The mute switch is also accessed in a unique manner. Instead of having a cutout for the mute switch, Lunatik has a button that you push to access the mute switch. It’s pretty awesome.
Getting to the hardware ports is easy and because the rubber on the Seismik is flexible, you can use headphones with larger jacks while having a bit of protection for the bottom of your iPhone. The edges of the case are far enough away that it doesn’t get in the way of accessing your iPhone’s touch screen.[/toggle]
