Will the top screen protectors for the iPhone 6 be the same for the iPhone 7?
So the iPhone 7 was announced yesterday. There’s a shiny version, a bigger camera and you could now use it in the shower safely. Like every incremental upgrade, going from the iPhone 6s to iPhone 7 won’t be a big deal but anybody with a iPhone 6 or older will notice a big difference.
The physical dimensions between the iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 are identical and the iPhone 7 cases we have in hand generally fit the iPhone 6s (Other than the camera). To get a sense of what product to look out for the iPhone 7, check out the Top 10 Guide for the iPhone 6 below.

Screen protectors may receive a slight redesign with the iPhone 7. Rumors say that the ambient light sensor with be integrated into the earpiece which will not only make the earpiece longer, but will make it a more cleaner design. It is also rumored that the camera will be larger and have a curved camera bump instead of the sharper edges on the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.

Hey Aaron,
I’ve heard all about the camera difference on the back, but is the front face of the iPhone 7 the same as the 6, 6s? Will my Cinder Screen protector fit the new phone?

Generally yes though the cutouts at the top won’t line up on some products.

What screen protector do you recommend for the iPhone 7 plus? Some cover more or less of the screen.
Thanks.

I personally would go with a Patchworks ITG Silicate glass but it doesn’t fully cover the touchable area of the iPhone. Most don’t.
There are edge to edge screen protectors but they are all hit and miss with the application (bubbles).

What edge to edge screen protector do you recommend for the iPhone 7 plus? I have a Mophie Juice Pack Air and would like to have full screen coverage.

Maybe the iLoome ScreenMate Maxx. I’m actually going to suggest staying from edge to edge screen protectors. Lots of people have been having troubles with them.

Previously Cinder was one of your better recommendations for edge to edge …What are the main problems that are now occurring with the edge to edge screen protectors? Thanks in advance.

I recently tried the Cinder screen protector on the iPhone 7 (I have had it on a 6 for 2 years and thought it was great). However, I do have some issues with bubbling around the viewable area that I can’t get rid of. Also, the Cinder on the 7 doesn’t work with the Ghostek cloak (which is a shame) so I’m going to try with the Rhino Shield PlayProof (as this combination worked on the 6). Hope that helps.
